About

Amanda Barritt BSc (Hons), DSFH, HPD, MNCH (Reg.)

Over the years I have worked with many people from all walks of life, who have needed a helping hand to get back on their feet. After graduating with a degree in BSc (Hons) Psychology, I worked in several establishments that helped individuals affected by mental health difficulties, substance misuse and homelessness.

However it was a few years later that I discovered through personal experience, the world of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy and saw the positive change that it can bring to people like you and me- who need a little relief from modern life’s stresses. With my passion to continue working with people, I trained with Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training (CPHT), and have seen first-hand the great benefits it can offer.

Hypnotherapy helps clients to use resources already within them to acquire the change they desire. I love working with people and seeing them make small, positive steps towards their “preferred future”, and also break unhealthy habits and cycles of negative thinking.

Now a fully qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist, I am also a member of the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH) and the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH). This requires me to continue my professional development with ongoing training and attend regular supervisions. I have also recently just been made an Approved Anxiety UK Therapist, which means I can take referrals from the charity alongside my private practice.
